The European Union is subsidising over 70 projects with €600 million to electrify and decarbonise road, maritime, river and air transport along the TEN-T, the trans-European transport network.

In particular, this network will be electrified through the installation of over 1,000 new charging points for light vehicles with a capacity of 150 kW, 2,000 for heavy vehicles – providing a capacity of 350 kW – and 586 with a power of 1 MW.

The appointment for operators in the sector is at E-Charge 2026, the trade fair dedicated to the EV charging industry and market, charging points and stations, technologies, infrastructure and services, scheduled to take place from 7 to 9 October 2026 at BolognaFiere.

It will take place as part of Urban Tech – The Urban Technology Show, the new event dedicated to e-mobility, traffic, commuting, security, telecommunications & data and the environment.
